How Voidy Came to Life?

Voidy actually existed before the tarot deck.

The idea began with a simple thought: what if the darkness had a friendly face?

As a mom, I loved the idea of creating a small character that could make the dark feel a little less mysterious or intimidating for my son.

That idea eventually became Voidy, a tiny black crochet character with nothing but two little white eyes.

There was something about his simplicity that I immediately loved. He looked mysterious, but never scary, quiet, curious, and strangely comforting.

And then I started imagining a world around him.

What if Voidy wandered through the archetypes and symbolism of tarot?

That question became the starting point for Voidy’s Tarot.

I began illustrating the cards by hand, bringing that same minimalist approach into every design. Rather than creating highly detailed scenes, I wanted each card to communicate its meaning through recognizable symbols, simple shapes, and expressive little characters.

Little by little, Voidy’s world grew into a complete 78-card tarot deck, while keeping the simple visual language that inspired the project from the beginning.

What started as one tiny crochet character eventually became an entire little tarot universe.

October 2026 — Kickstarter Campaign
Voidy’s Tarot launches on Kickstarter. During the campaign, stretch goals may be unlocked depending on the total amount raised.

November 2026 — Final Preparations & Production Order
After the campaign ends and funding is successfully processed, final quantities will be confirmed and the production order will be placed with the manufacturer.

December 2026 – January 2027 — Manufacturing & Quality Control
The tarot decks, metal tins, and printed inserts will enter production. During this stage, manufacturing progress and quality will be carefully reviewed before fulfillment begins.

January – February 2027 — Digital Rewards & Fulfillment Preparation
The digital Tarot Guidebook and, if unlocked, the Tabletop RPG Guidebook and 3D-printable STL miniatures will be finalized. Shipping information will also be confirmed and fulfillment prepared.

February – March 2027 — Shipping & Delivery
Completed rewards will begin shipping to backers. Delivery times may vary depending on destination, customs, and local postal services.
