Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverland: Tarot & Guidebook

We’re Jerry and Matt, the creative force behind Mystic Madness Tarot Co. As partners in life and art, we combine our talents to craft tarot decks that transport you into richly imagined worlds.

This deck has been nearly two years in the making, shaped by patience, reflection, and the themes that guide its story: flowing with the tides of the universe, trusting the call of the sea, and daring to seek your true treasure. Just as Peter Pan and the Lost Boys longed for adventure and belonging, these cards speak to the pursuit of dreams and the courage it takes to follow them. With gratitude and excitement, we’re honored to share this deck with you.

And now, with your help bringing this vision to life, we set sail and...

Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverland invites you into a world of adventure and mysticism, where classic nautical tales meet the magic of the unknown. Anchored in the element of water and guided by the allure of the moon and stars, this deck embodies the breadth of human emotion—the depths and currents, light and shadow, the seen and the unseen.

✧ Stories Woven Through the Deck

This deck invites you to sail alongside Sinbad, Jim Hawkins, Peter Pan, and the Lost Boys on a mythic journey to the Fountain of Youth hidden within Neverland’s jungle. Along the way, you’ll encounter mermaids, pirates, sea witches, and other timeless beings. Each card is a doorway into that world, carrying both story and symbolism for your own path of self-discovery.

Peter Pan & the Lost Boys — The Eternal Child

“All the world is made of faith, and trust, and pixie dust.”

— J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan (1911)

Peter reminds us of the inner child within us all—the part that still believes in wonder, magic, and timeless play. This theme is about rediscovering that spark we thought was gone, learning from what once blocked us, and finding joy in becoming whole again.

And it’s here, in the shadows of said blockages, that we meet The Devil himself: Captain Hook.

The Little Mermaid — Longing and Transformation

“To all the good in our power, we receive an immortal soul and take part in the happiness of mankind”

— Hans Christian Andersen, The Little Mermaid (1837)

The Mermaid’s tale is not only about love and loss, but about one's own becoming. Her story calls us to step into transformation, to risk, to reach—and to recognize that even the longing itself shapes us. Each choice deepens the soul and opens new paths we couldn’t see before.

Jim Hawkins in Treasure Island — The Call of Adventure

“Seaward ho! Hang the treasure! It’s the glory of the sea that has turned my head.”

— Robert Louis Stevenson, Treasure Island (1883)

Jim’s story is about answering the call to adventure. His journey reminds us that treasure isn’t always gold — it’s courage, discernment, and the willingness to follow curiosity into the unknown.

Sinbad the Sailor — Fortune’s Wheel !

“When I escaped drowning and reached the island which afforded me fruit to eat and water to drink, I returned thanks to the Most High"

— The Fifth Voyage of Sinbad the Sailor, The Arabian Nights (trans. Galland, 1704–1717)

Sinbad teaches us that life’s wheel turns through storms and trials, but always brings us back richer in wisdom. His voyages show that fate shapes us not to break us, but to strengthen us, so we can return home changed.

Aladdin — The Diamond in the Rough

“He knew he was not to blame for being poor, and that fortune must one day change.”

— The Arabian Nights, The Story of Aladdin (trans. Galland, 1704–1717)

Aladdin’s tale is about alignment with the universe — daring to hold a vision even when circumstances say otherwise. From “street rat” to diamond, his story shows that true magic is the courage to believe and create despite the odds.

✧ Meet the Major Arcana

Our journey begins in the dark streets of London as the bell strikes midnight. This is where we take aim and flight toward that particular star, making our way to Neverland by way of the sea and sky. Each card in the deck captures a moment of this grand voyage—where legendary characters and mystical forces converge on the high seas.

Pentacle

Disclaimer: Our artwork is highly iterative and continually evolving until it is sent to the printers. Our goal is to enhance the imagery with as much detail and symbolism possible before it's all printed. We thank you for your understanding and we welcome any feedback you might have!

✧ The Storybook Guide

This is a narrative-driven guidebook, where every card plays a role in an unfolding tale. Together, they create a mythic world of adventure, mysticism, and shadow work — inviting you to not just read the cards, but live the story they tell.

Our Process and Use of Image Generation

We’d like to take this opportunity to be transparent with our community. Our process is highly iterative, which means that the artwork will evolve continually until we send it to the printer. What you see here is in the final stages of completion, and we’ll be adding additional detail as we progress through the campaign. This approach gives us the space to create the most compelling and beautiful tarot deck possible for our fans.

We’ll share regular updates to highlight our progress and invite any feedback you may have regarding the artwork and the deck as a whole. While we can’t guarantee every suggestion will be implemented, we will be listening closely and genuinely value your input. :)

Our artistic process for “Voyage the 7 Seas to Neverland” is rooted in storytelling, and goes far beyond the simple generation of images. Each card begins with a clear vision—grounded in rich concepts, emotions, and themes we aim to convey. We use AI as a tool to generate foundational elements that are only the starting point. From there, we employ a meticulous collaging technique, layering multiple AI-generated pieces, original art, and hand-crafted elements. This is an intensely hands-on process, with each image undergoing countless rounds of refinement, including detailed adjustments to composition, color balance, and atmospheric effects. The art evolves through each stage, allowing us to enhance the narrative, incorporate subtle connections, and add intricate details that bind the deck together.
