Wasteland Sector: Modular 3D Printable Sci-Fi Terrain

Build a sprawling wasteland settlement, a fortified outpost, or a multi-level industrial battlefield. Then take it apart and build something completely different.

Wasteland Sector is a modular terrain system for sci-fi and post-apocalyptic miniature wargames. Print the pieces on your FDM 3D printer, connect them using our modified OpenLOCK-style clips, and create the battlefield you want.

No magnets required.

The entire system is built around interchangeable walls, columns, floors, and roofs.

Build small, single-storey structures, large industrial compounds, or towering buildings connected by walkways. With three-inch storeys and a wide variety of components, you can build around the needs of your game.

And because everything is modular, you can rearrange the same pieces into completely different structures.

We use a modified OpenLOCK-style connector that allows you to clip walls into columns, with floors and roofs completing the structures.

The system uses slim columns and removable connections without requiring magnets.

When you're finished playing, take the structures apart for compact storage. The next time you play, use the same pieces to build something different.

Wasteland Sector is designed to work across a variety of sci-fi and post-apocalyptic miniature games.

Create dense, multi-level environments for Necromunda-style skirmishes, settlements for Fallout-inspired adventures, or larger ruined and industrial buildings for Warhammer 40,000.

The modular design also lets you adjust building sizes and shapes to suit your scenarios, rather than being restricted to fixed terrain pieces.

The Complete collection lets you go beyond individual buildings and create interconnected settlements filled with elevated routes, obstacles, details, and interesting places to fight over.

Both pledges are digital STL files, not physical terrain. You can print multiple copies of the included components for your own personal use. The Complete pledge includes everything in Core, so you do not need to purchase both.

We've designed Wasteland Sector for FDM 3D printers, using modular components that can be printed individually and assembled into much larger structures.

Start by printing a small building, then gradually expand your collection into an entire gaming table.

The terrain is also designed to be practical to paint, with weathered industrial details that suit simple drybrushing, washes, and other quick terrain-painting techniques.

All pledges are delivered as digital STL files. You will need access to a suitable FDM 3D printer and filament to print your terrain.

Personal-use pledges do not permit selling printed copies or redistributing the digital files.

A separate Wasteland Sector Lifetime Merchant License will also be available for businesses wishing to sell physical prints of this collection, subject to its license terms.

No physical models, miniatures, paint, or gaming mats are included.

We've spent years designing, printing, painting, and using terrain in our own miniature wargames.

Wasteland Sector follows six previous terrain crowdfunding campaigns, including The Forgotten Ruins of Drakenfell, The Ruins of Perdition, The Depths of Perdition, The Outposts of Perdition, Spires of Perdition, and Temples of Drakenfell.

We've taken what we've learned from those projects and brought it into a new terrain system focused on modular, improvised sci-fi buildings.

The terrain has already been designed, with printed and painted examples to demonstrate the system.
