Ways Unseen Sci-fi Map Pack

The Ways Unseen Sci-Fi Map Pack is a collection of lovingly-crafted, hand-drawn off-world locations rendered in a top-down style by the cartographer Ways Unseen. 

Intended for use by Games Masters, solo-players and avid world-builders, the Sci-Fi Map Pack will include a broad range of locations that will fit right in to any sci-fi game! From space-stations to planetary outposts, space ships to rebel bases, these mini maps will cover a lot of ground!

What's included

This map pack will include ten varied maps that will be useful for different contexts and purposes; the following will be considered in their design:

• Maps will cover a variety of science-fiction staple locations and contexts
• Whilst most will be interior maps, some exterior maps will also be included
• Some maps will join together to form a large map
• Careful consideration will be made to create spaces that that can be used to create drama and support action, and to allow for characters, NPCs and enemies to utilise the space in different ways

All maps - including any added as stretch goals - will be provided as high-resolution digital images in two formats, a 'vanilla' format that can be used in any way you wish, along with a more fancy bordered format, which includes sections for making notes about your subterranean location.

Why back?

• Enable the map pack to grow in size - crowdfunding is the best way to ensure these map packs are well-funded. The more it is funded, the more potential there will be to add additional maps as stretch goals...
• Value – Whilst the majority of the maps will be available digitally on other platforms after the campaign, the future full price will be greater than the cost of backing.
• Be part of the journey – I’ll be sharing more in-progress photos in project updates and taking suggestions as I continue to draw the maps.
• As creators increasingly turn to AI to illustrate their projects, this is an opportunity to support an illustrator working with traditional media, producing maps with a distinctly hand-drawn aesthetic.

About Ways Unseen

Ways Unseen is a fantasy map illustrator, living in the East of England. He's always enjoyed drawing, though for much of his life, he shied away from actually putting pencil to paper. Now that he's started in earnest, he never wants to stop!

He produces maps for tabletop gaming in a range of different styles. Whilst he loves drawing isometric, side-view and region maps, the flexibility of top-down maps means he always comes back to this style.
