Whisker City Air Race board game

The Biggest Race in Whisker City!

Six teams. Six race planes. Endless adventure.

The Whisker City Air Race is a storybook adventure board game based on the award-winning Miso & Kili Whisker City Air Race children's book.

Across Whisker City, the streets are packed with cheering fans as racers prepare for the biggest air race the city has ever seen.

Now, the adventure is yours with the Whisker City Air Race board game!

Choose your team, climb into your aircraft, manage your fuel, play your Flight Cards, navigate changing conditions, and race across the world of Miso & Kili.

Every race takes a different path. Every card can change the journey. And beyond the finish line...

Treats and a huge trophy are waiting.

An Air Race Board Game

In The Whisker City Air Race board game, players compete to be the first team to complete a lap around the entire map and return to Whisker City.

Along the way, players will:

✈️ Play Flight Cards to move their aircraft across the race route.

Goodbye agency-reducing dice movement and hello card-based intentional selection based movement.
Players are actively engaged even when its not their turn, planning their route in advance by knowing what options are available with their 3-card hand of Flight Cards.

⛽ Manage fuel as you travel throughout the game board.

Moving isn't as simple as just playing a card, players also need to manage their fuel as they race bringing real strategic elements to game play.

🧭 Navigate changing conditions and respond to unexpected events that can help, hinder, or completely change your plans.

Staying on your toes 🐾 and adapting quick to changing conditions is a must as Navigation Check cards add fun and interesting twists to gameplay!

🏁 Make strategic choices as you decide how to approach the race.

The rules are easy to learn, but every race can unfold differently.

Sometimes you'll have the perfect flight plan. Sometimes a wind tunnel will send you down an unexpected path. Sometimes the shortest route isn't the fastest one.

but almost always...
the unexpected is exactly what makes the race exciting.

🛩 Meet the Racers 🛩

Lane 3 - Alley Cats

Lane 4 - Island Cats

Lane 5 - Gelato Kitties in the Frosty Express

Pistachio and Hazelnut made their debut in the second Miso & Kili book: The Last Frontier and graciously accepted the invite to race this year from Miso & Kili themselves.

Lane 6 - Pima Sky Cats

Anya & Jaya in their elegant Shooting Star always join in the Whisker City Air race each year and were super excited to see Miso & Kili finally join in the big race. They are long standing friends with Miso & Kili and first made their debut in the third Miso & Kili book: The Sonoran Desert.

📕 From Book to Board Game 🎲

📖 Read the Adventure. Race the Adventure. ✈️

The Whisker City Air Race started out as an award-winning book, and we've transformed the story into a board game!

Race Across Whisker City 🗺️

The annual race will take players across the catfish ocean, golden paw desert, panther's tail jungle, the yarn ball rolling hills, and the skies above Whisker City.

✨ This is a direct adaption from the book! 📜

We're using the same storyline, same teams and airplanes, even the same artist! 🎨🖌️
🤝

If you love the Whisker City Air Race book, you're going to love the board game too!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Game Night

Strategy, Teamwork, and a Whole Lot of Fun

Just like the book series, the central focus and core intent of this game is to bring families and friends closer together.
Whether you're snuggled up under blankets, or sitting around a big gaming table- its spending time together that really matters and we want to make this time even more special and meaningful.

The dynamic play of this game is really where this focus and intention shines.
We've created avenues for entirely cooperative play styles, competitive play styles and a mix of both, making the play experience flexible towards a wide range of players.
