We are excited to be using a new publisher/printer with this project to give our backers even better quality printing and paper.  They also offer special bespoke features which we will be offering on the collectors edition of the book including printed end-pages, colored page edges, and a ribbon bookmark (plus the artist will be adding a hand drawn art plate to make each collectors edition unique).  Our goal is to provide you with a vibrant art book packed with sixty unique creatures, plus a little lore to help bring them to life. Jessica and Daniel also sign ALL hardcovers before shipping at no extra charge!

The Oracle Decks

Based on backer feedback and requests we are offering two different decks with the creatures from the project.  One is a tarot-card-sized deck with a foil back and fairly detailed meaning.  The other is a pocket-sized deck with simple keyword meanings and close-ups of the creatures.  They can be used independently or together. For the first time we're doing full art zipper cases (like very fancy pencil cases) to hold the decks. 

The Coloring Book

Choose from the large  8.5"x11" or 6"x8" pocket size coloring book.  Both options have spiral binding for much easier coloring.  In addition the printing is a vast improvement over our past coloring books with much crisper, darker, lines.  It will feature 60 single sided drawings for you to color with pencil, crayon, or marker  (120 pages total).

Bookmarks

Many rewards include a random bookmark or set of four bookmarks.  These will be double sided (same art on both) with a tassel and a beautiful iridescent holographic surface.

Keychains

We're excited to offer some VERY special keychains as bonus rewards and optional $10 add-ons.  Choose from two designs, but we may add more based on funding and backer requests :)

Project Timeline

• Updated: As of September 29th the book and coloring book are complete and proofs have been ordered. We also have ordered proof cards from the decks while we finish the last of the deck layout and edits. 
• Surveys will go out around October 20th via Kickstarter's built-in  Pledge Manager.
• Printing is expected to take place in November.  Digital downloads will also be sent out on kickstarter in November. 
• We have listed fulfillment as being complete by January to allow for any printing or shipping delays during the holidays. Our projects usually ship early and we will keep you updated every step of the way.  Note: early shipping won't include pledge over time backers as we cannot ship until your last payment is complete.

Artwork

All art for the project is original illustration by Jessica Feinberg in acrylic, watercolor, and digital paint, no AI USED.  Some original paintings are included as rewards! The digital paintings are still painted one stroke at a time just like the acrylic and watercolor. They are created using Clip Studio Paint and an art tablet (example video below, actual drawing/painting time around 3 hours).

Creators

This project is being created and fulfilled by Jessica Feinberg and her husband Daniel Faccio.  Jessica is illustrating the project with a variety of media including acrylic paint markers, watercolor, and digital gouache paint (NO AI USED!).  Daniel and Jessica are co-authoring the lore for the book.  Both creators are also involved in the creature design, product design, logistics, and shipping/fulfillment.  They have already funded many other projects and are excited to bring this book to life for you!

Project Polices

By pledging to this campaign, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

REFUNDS & FAILED PAYMENTS:

• Kickstarter is designed for backers to pledge a chosen amount of money toward a goal.  All  backers have until campaign funding closes to change or cancel their pledged amounts. After that the funds are counted for project goals and stretch goals so refunds are not possible. 
• If your payments fails on Kickstarter you'll have one week after the project ends to correct it.   If you do not correct it Kickstarter automatically drop you as a backer. We cannot do anything about this as it is automatic.  

SALES TAX & VAT:

Please note that Kickstarter will automatically calculate, charge, and remit any applicable sales tax or VAT.  This is typically handled at the time of survey as it will be based on your address.  Kickstarter should have informed you of possible taxes during your pledge and handles all this automatically, we don't have a say in it. 

SURVEYS & DOWNLOADS NOW ON KICKSTARTER DIRECTLY: 

• For the first time we are using the built in PLEDGE MANAGER here on KICKSTARTER for surveys and delivery of digital rewards. Surveys are expected to go out a few weeks after the project ends.
• You must fill our a project survey in order for us to delivery your rewards. This provides us with your mailing address and any other information we need in order to send you your rewards.
• If you do not answer your survey we will hold your rewards until the end of February 2027.  You are ultimately responsible for  providing your  mailing  details in  a timely fashion, we cannot promise fulfillment after February 2027.

SHIPPING ISSUES:

• DAMAGED ITEMS: We realize that sometimes the postal service is rough with packages.  We insure packages and have a contingency budget for the rare case that something is damaged (out of around 1000 packages we ship every year we usually have under five damage issues).  If your rewards are damaged please EMAIL Info@RareDragons.Shop (Kickstarter does not allow attachments) letting us know about the damage and include photos of both the package and the damaged items.  We cannot replace items if it has been more than 30 days since shipping.
• LOST PACKAGES:  This is VERY rare. Please check the tracking number we sent and see what the status is.
• If the package status never is NOT listed as "delivered" and you have checked with your local post office/customs please contact us within 30 days so we can file a claim for the missing package and hopefully replace your rewards.  
• If the post office has flagged the package as delivered but you do not have it we are not liable and cannot assist you.  You need to contact your local post office about the missing package and, if stolen, consider filing a police report and using a more secure delivery location. Only twice (in over 60 Kickstarters) have packages been stolen or completely vanished once marked as delivered.
