WW2: Heroes of the Dutch Resistance - 28mm Pewter Miniatures

During WW2, many countries had both armed and unarmed resistance to the fascist threat. There are many, many miniatures of the fascists, but fewer of those who fought them, so let's rebalance that. Something that unites us all, no matter where we are from in the world, is that there are plenty of folk fighting to make the world a better place.

These miniatures will make excellent dioramas and painting projects as well as gaming pieces that you can use in a variety of rules sets such as Chain of Command, No Easy Ground, Packing Heat, Bolt Action and more.

As well as representing specific people, you can of course use these figures as agents, civilians and more in whatever era or genre you like.

THE FIGURES

This project  brings  TWENTY brand new sculpts of real people:

Queen Wilhelmina, Jan Bonekamp, Trien de Haan, Kate ter Horst, Audrey Hepburn, Willem Arondeus, Sjoerd Bakker, Bet van Beeren, Frieda Belinfante, Betty Oudkerk, Henriette Henriquez Pimentel, Riet van Grunsven, Truus van Lier, Jacoba van Tongeren, Lau Mazirel, Violette Cornelius, Gerrit van der Veen, Johanna Scholten, Corrie ten Boom and Casper ten Boom.

This is in addition to our existing Dutch Resistance miniatures of Hannie Schaft, Truus Oversteegen and Freddie Oversteegen.

You can pledge for any combination of these packs or heck it - the whole lot.

All single piece cast pewter. See lower down the page for more technical details. Made for 28mm scale gaming, some are smaller if they're younger, such as Audrey.

The next two packs are from our existing range but available in this Kickstarter either as add ons or part of the Het Wilhelmus PLUS pledge level.

REWARDS

All pledge levels allow you to increase your pledge to include add-ons.

For example, if you want Het Wilhelmus, plus another Jan Bonekamp - pledge at that level (£75), and increase the total by £6, to make £81.

You can increase your pledge amount at any time with the "Manage my Pledge" option, which will appear in the same place. Keep a note so you don't forget, and we will ask for the relevant information in the pledge manager after the campaign.

STRETCH GOALS

There aren't many stretch goals in this campaign, as I spent so long researching and designing everyone that I just wanted them out there. There will be some bits, so stay tuned, but we found that most people don't return to a KS after they backed it, so any stretch goal minis weren't getting the full glory they deserved. I'd rather throw it all straight at you! I've already invested in the sculpts and master castings so it doesn't make sense to do the dance.

Expect some lovely art by Martin Whitmore though.

ADD-ONS

We have such an extensive range of other minis these ladies could be working with or against, and a whole heap of scenics they can be doing it on. We've put a few below to inspire, but you may add anything from our catalogue afterwards in the pledge manager. 

To add an "add-on", simply increase the total of your pledge amount to reflect this, make a note somewhere, and after the campaign, we send out a "pledge manager" where you let us know what you want. 

TECHNICAL DETAILS

• The miniatures are 28mm scale and cast in extremely high-quality white metal. Everything is a single piece.  They come without bases supplied, though you can add these in the pledge manager for a low price. 
• They are supplied unpainted  so you can either paint them yourself or bring out the detail with an ink wash. Everything is sculpted by hand.
• They fit nicely with 28mm scale miniatures from other ranges.

SHIPPING

As a business with a successful web shop, we ship a large number of packages every day worldwide. You can rest assured that we are more than familiar with safe packaging, customs, and methods.

The shipping is going to be taken AFTER the Kickstarter,  so it is not included in your pledge - please don't add it to your total.  It's going to be worked out via weight through the Bad Squiddo Games web store.  

All overseas (non UK) orders are shipped with tracking. Upgraded shipping options are also available at extra cost if you want the goodies to arrive even sooner. You will be able to choose these in the pledge manager. 

ALL EU AND USA ORDER ARE SHIPPED DUTIES PRE PAID. This means this total is the final total. No nasty surprises and you follow the parcel all the way.

If the campaign is successful, your card will be charged afterwards, and then we will update you with a link to the Pledge Manager. This will be through the Bad Squiddo Games website and will be easy to use. This is where you give us your shipping details, pay for shipping, let us know what extra packs you may have added to your pledge and add anything else you may have forgotten. You may add other items from the rest of the website too! The precise information will be in the updates, but if you've backed any of our previous  Kickstarters - it's our usual set-up!
