YŌKAI MASKS was created not only to be printed, but also to become a canvas for painters and artists.

Each mask features intricate sculpted details that invite you to experiment with colors, shadows, metallic effects, weathering and unique finishes. From traditional Japanese-inspired palettes to completely original interpretations, every piece offers an opportunity to express your creativity.

Enter the world of the spirits.

Halloween is a night when legends, monsters and ancient spirits come to life.

Inspired by the mysterious creatures of Japanese folklore, YŌKAI MASKS — Spirits of the Night brings together a collection of original sculptural masks that explore the darker side of the supernatural world.

From terrifying demons and horned creatures to mysterious animal spirits, each design has its own personality, expression and visual identity.

Our goal was to create masks that feel like ancient supernatural artifacts brought into the modern world, combining Japanese-inspired aesthetics with our own sculptural approach.

Ten masks. Ten spirits. One night.

👹 THE COLLECTION

The collection features 10 unique Yōkai-inspired masks, each developed around a different character and visual concept.

Strong silhouettes, expressive faces, horns, fangs and ornamental elements come together to create distinctive designs with a dark, fantastical aesthetic.

Rather than reproducing traditional masks, we developed our own interpretations, drawing inspiration from the atmosphere, symbolism and visual language of Japanese folklore.

The result is a collection that pays tribute to this fascinating world while maintaining the original artistic identity of RUNE STUDIO.

💡 Why Is Our Funding Goal So Low?

At RUNE STUDIO, we have decided to maintain an accessible funding goal for this campaign because all the designs for YŌKAI MASKS — SPIRITS OF THE NIGHT have already been fully modeled and completed.

The main creative and development work is already finished, allowing us to focus on delivering these detailed, high-quality 3D printable masks directly to our backers without unnecessary delays.

We believe this approach increases the campaign’s chances of reaching its funding goal while allowing us to offer our completed designs at an accessible price.

Our goal is to make these creations, inspired by Japanese folklore, spirits, and supernatural legends, available to more people while continuing to bring new ideas to life at RUNE STUDIO.

📦 When Will You Receive Your Files?

Since all the YŌKAI MASKS — SPIRITS OF THE NIGHT designs are already completed, we plan to deliver the digital files as soon as Kickstarter payments have been successfully processed.

Payment processing usually takes 2–4 days after the campaign ends. Once the payments have been processed, we will begin delivering the files to our backers without unnecessary delays.

Our expected deadline for completing delivery is October 25, 2026. This will give you enough time to download and print your masks before Halloween, so you can get ready to celebrate the spookiest night of the year with your very own creations!

🗿THE SCULPTING PROCESS 

Every design begins as a digital sculpture.

We work to give each mask a strong identity through its volumes, proportions, expression and surface details. The intention goes beyond creating an impressive digital image: we want each design to work as a physical object.

At RUNE STUDIO, we approach every project with the mindset of a sculptor, prioritizing forms and details that translate effectively from the digital workspace to the printed piece.

The goal is not just to create a detailed model, but a sculpture that comes to life in the real world.

🪜 PRE-SUPPORTED FILES

All masks included in YŌKAI MASKS: SPIRITS OF THE NIGHT will come with manually placed resin-printing supports, carefully prepared in Lychee Slicer to facilitate the printing process and achieve optimal results.

Additionally, each mask will be divided into 4 sections, allowing you to print the pieces separately and making them suitable for resin 3D printers with smaller build screens.

You will also receive a complete, single-piece version of each mask without supports, for those who prefer to print the entire model in one piece and prepare their own supports according to their printer's specifications and personal printing preferences.

Our goal is to provide versatile files that accommodate different printer sizes and printing preferences, giving you the freedom to choose how to bring YŌKAI MASKS: SPIRITS OF THE NIGHT to life.

🖨️ DIGITAL FILES & DELIVERY

YŌKAI MASKS is an entirely digital project. No physical products will be shipped.

Your selected reward will include the corresponding digital STL files for 3D printing. Please refer to the individual reward descriptions for the exact contents of each pledge.

The files are intended for personal 3D printing, allowing you to bring the designs into the physical world using your own equipment.
