SLIDE & BUZZ

During the up-and-down sliding motion, the internal high-strength magnet array shifts. Upon reaching the critical point, it instantly snaps back to re-engage, generating intense vibration feedback that drives the precision cavity to resonate, simulating the sound of summer cicadas.

SPIN & DING

Gently hold the central knob and flick the main body to set it spinning rapidly. When the rotation comes to an abrupt halt, the resulting powerful inertia drives the internal tuning fork to strike the edge of the casing, producing a crisp, lingering "ding" sound.

We are a design-driven studio dedicated to transforming creative concepts into exquisitely crafted physical objects. Drawing on our expertise in industrial design, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing, we create durable products that seamlessly blend practical functionality with refined aesthetics.
It all began with a summer memory—sunlight filtering through the leaves and the distant sound of cicadas. We wondered: could we capture that sound in an Everyday Carry (EDC) item that you could take with you anywhere?
After countless sketches, we settled on a design that preserves the cicada’s silhouette and the placement of its eyes, while reimagining its tail as a lanyard hole and its body as a multi-layered sliding mechanism. This biomimetic approach goes beyond mere decoration; it ensures instant recognition—creating a cicada that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand.

To ensure both sound and tactile feel meet our standards, we selected aerospace-grade TC4 titanium alloy. The pure titanium version offers a solid, profound character, while the titanium and amber resin version reveals the internal mechanics.
From CNC prototyping to assembly validation, we meticulously fine-tuned tolerances, magnetic force, and the internal chamber structure. Designed to be maintenance-free and requiring no lubrication, every ZENCADA unit delivers a smooth tactile experience and consistent acoustic performance.
